Every so often, we receive messages from families in our community. Sometimes these messages are to nominate a wonderful mom or an outstanding kid. Other times, we receive messages about local problems and sometimes, fundraisers. We’re in the process of creating a community page and will hope to have that up soon.
In the meantime, we want to share a story about a local child who is in need of a service dog.
Everett’s is 4 and 1/2 years old and he loves helping others, playing outside, dancing to all types of music, he enjoys reading books and playing hide and seek. Everett was diagnosed with Autism when he was 2 years old. Through the years, his family has helped him to “discover his voice and learn to embrace the world.”
Everett’s parents, James and Lauren Loper were both born and raised in Greenville, SC. They currently live in the upstate with Everett and his 9 month old sister, Kennedy.
Everett and his family have been through so much but his parents are working to help him find a best friend (the best kind!) to help him in times that he is anxious, to keep him safe and to be there for him at all times.
The family is working to raise funds for a service dog for Everett through the Service Dog Institute in Greenville. You can read more of his story and find the link here if you are interested in helping them meet this goal.
