eyewear: what shape is best for your face

Did you know that despite the recommendation of an annual eye exam, most people change their eyewear approximately every 3 and ½ years? When it’s time to get new glasses, you want to make sure you get the shape right!  With so many glasses to choose from, knowing what suits you best can really help in bringing out your unique facial contours.

Owners Kristi and Reggie Thompson at O’Boutique Luxury Optical in Pendleton, SC specialize in frame styling. Recommending frames proportional to the length and width of your face. Kristi states, “round and oval-shaped frames will soften the hard angles in a square shaped face and add balance. Rectangle frames tend to break up the facial structure, which can make your face appear longer and thinner. Similar to how precision in make-up application is needed, when it comes to facial symmetry and eye aesthetics, choosing the right quality, shape and color is prudent.”

O’Boutique is located in Pendleton, SC, just a short drive from the Greenville area but worth the drive! If you have questions about what eyewear shape is best for your face, be sure to give Kristi and Reggie a call!
